Dr. K. Shantha Breast Cancer Foundation (SBCF) is a non-profit charity organization.
Under the leadership of its Patron, GVN Hospitals, Trichy and her dedicated, enthusiastic executive committee comprising mostly medical professionals.
SBCF’s vision is to : Breast Conservation for Breast Cancer by 2020.
Through its Awareness & Education Programme, SBCF reaches out to as many people as possible irrespective of gender, profession or ethnic group. SBCF believes that by doing so more people will not only become aware of breast cancer and related issues but also become our partners in spreading our education messages. Strategies include face-to-face programmes, fund-raising activities as well as messages and information through mass media.
When and where appropriate, SBCF works closely with the media to reach out to the masses by providing media representatives with information on breast cancer and programmes and services that are available to people affected by the disease as well as facilitating interviews with survivors.
